Today, March 14th (3/14), is Pi Day. Celebrate it by having a piece of pie. Chocolate is my favorite, but pecan, cherry, apple, and I-40 pie rank up there too. Actually, to celebrate today more precisely, have your pie at 3:50 AM. (Pi to five decimal places is 3.14159).
I'll take any pie except pumpkin. Chocolate, blueberry, or apple are great but cherry is my favorite, at least at this moment. The best pie I ever ate was a fresh raspberry pie, only made to order at a raspberry farm in Maine. I've had others that fell so short I won't eat raspberry pie anymore. Well, you could twist my arm...
Never heard of I-40 pie though it does sound good (maybe better for me without the coconut). I can't say I'm a huge pie fan--if I were I might be huge--but I don't mind a good piece of pie now and then.
Good excuse to eat pie day. I am driving by a place called Betty's Pies later today. I'll have to stop in.
